What it's like to attend

SEND provision

Management and staff use additional funding to support the individual needs of children well. For example, they purchase a wide range of resources and games to support children to develop their communication skills.

Outdoor space

Staff provide all children with opportunities to develop good physical skills. This is demonstrated when children build and negotiate their own obstacles, such as balancing on large bricks. The inspector viewed the indoor and outdoor learning environments.

EAL / language support

All children, including those who speak English as an additional language, have a positive attitude towards their learning and make good progress.

Our son came here very anxious and unsure of himself and demonstrating a few challenging behaviors. In a matter of weeks he has had complete turnaround. He is confident, polite, helpful and has learned so much. It’s clear that he really enjoys the company of the adults at Mini and feels really well supported to be his best self. We cannot thank them enough for the energy and attention they put into helping him feel safe and happy again. Excellent.

Our son has been at the Westdene setting since it opened. He previously attended another local nursery and within the first few weeks of being here his development had improved so much. He and we love all the staff and the setting, we are kept up to date daily with reports and photos. Would 100% recommend.
