The day nursery School Brighton is situated in a charming 1930s villa in Patcham, Brighton, boasting half an acre of gardens and woodland. The day nursery, which opened in Spring 2024 after extensive refurbishment, retains many original architectural features.
It offers a stimulating environment with a variety of facilities including Forest School, Beach School, a sensory room, and a dedicated parents' lounge. The nursery provides a laundry service and nutritious food, with a focus on holistic development through enriched activities.
Children are given a uniform at no extra cost from age one upwards, fostering a sense of belonging and aiding their transition to primary education. The admissions process includes a visit to the nursery and free "Settle In Sessions" to ensure children feel secure and comfortable before they officially start.
The nursery offers both 15 and 30 hours of government funding for eligible children and operates almost year-round, closing only for one week between Christmas and New Year, as well as for bank holidays and an inset day. They prioritise continuity for children already attending and those with siblings, as well as those transferring from other Nursery School Company settings.

My little girl has been with The Nursery School in Brighton for a few months now and I have been blown away by everything they have to offer. From the daily enrichment activities (which include Music with Mike, Diddie Dance, Yoga, the list goes on!) to the nutritious amazing meals they are served by the onsite Chef Jamie - I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The facilities are equally gorgeous with beautifully thought out rooms for each age group as well as their very own sensory play room which my little girl can't get enough of. The outdoor play space is astroturfed so they are able to play outside everyday regardless of wet weather. I also love that they take the children out into the local community frequently with trips to farms, playgrounds, parks, libraries etc as well as the Forest/Beach School they offer for the older children. But on top of all of this, what makes this nursery feel so special to me is the staff and the care and attention they pay to nurturing the children. The focus on their development and keeping parents thoroughly updated on their progress is something I hadn't experienced before and I appreciate it hugely. I have also attended a couple of parents only socials where we can get to know the staff better and I feel very connected to the people who are looking after my child which is a really lovely thing. I love everything about The Nursery School and their ethos. Thank you for taking such great care of my little one :)
