About this day nursery

Wonder Years Nursery School, nestled between Preston Park and Withdean Park in Brighton, prides itself on being a family-focused day nursery dedicated to providing exceptional childcare. The day nursery, which opened its doors in December 2001, was founded with the vision of creating an environment where the founders would happily send their own children.

Emphasising a strong sense of well-being, trust, and happiness, Wonder Years believes these elements are crucial for children to reach their full potential and become confident learners. The nursery benefits from its own large outdoor garden, along with access to the Surrenden field and nearby woodland, fostering a connection with nature.

A free-flow system throughout the building allows children diverse development and fun opportunities, moving beyond the confines of a single room. The team is committed to creating strong relationships with parents through open communication, aiming to provide a true "home from home" childcare experience.

They understand the importance of making children feel safe, secure, and valued, believing this approach allows them to embrace learning joyfully. The nursery aims to foster natural curiosity and prepare children for formal education by creating an engaging environment supported by highly skilled carers.

They celebrate the magic of early childhood, integrating it into their educational approach, ensuring that learning remains a delightful and enchanting experience for every child.

The brilliant Wonder Years team have looked after both my daughters from crawling to toddlers to heading off to school. My girls even go back occasionally in school holidays for the holiday club and love it. The teachers, many of whom have been there for over 10 years, are always so friendly, smiley and happy to see all the children. I particularly liked the way the age groups mix, it feels like a home from home environment. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team - don’t hesitate to choose this wonderful setting if you are looking for a nursery.

I have sent both of my children here, and I can truly say that I'm so happy with the progress and confidence that they both developed by going here and I believe it is because it's such a happy and safe environment and all of the staff are so friendly and give an abundance of feedback on how my children have been, what they ate and how much they ate. Would definitely recommend Wonder Years Nursery.

We sent our son here and were delighted with the care and experience he had. We had to leave due to relocating and haven't been able to find a nursery that comes close to being as perfect as this one. I would recommend this nursery to anyone considering it, I wish we could have stayed.

Everyone in the nursary treat kids with respect and show them love, give them cuddles when they are sad and in general providing a wonderfull care. My little one has been there for a year and I couldn't find a better place. He is just thriving there! Highly recommended!
