What it's like to attend

The nurturing staff are very caring and passionate about providing the very best they can for the children attending the pre-school. Children are warmly welcomed by staff and children show they feel secure and happy. All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), settle with ease in the environment.

Inspector highlights

  • Children's communication and language skills are promoted particularly well. Staff introduce lots of new vocabulary and continually narrate activities for younger children.
  • Staff support children's mathematical learning well. Children learn about numbers, amounts, colours and sizes through a variety of activities.
  • Additional funding is used well to support children. For example, the pre-school has recently introduced a mud kitchen to support children's interests in sensory play.
  • The provision for SEND is a particular strength. Leaders and staff work with parents and other professionals to ensure that children receive tailored support to meet their needs.
  • Parent partnerships contribute significantly to children's success. Staff regularly talk to parents about children's progress.

How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), settle with ease in the environment. The provision for SEND is a particular strength. Leaders and staff work with parents and other professionals to ensure that children receive tailored support to meet their needs. Staff ensure referrals are made swiftly and support plans are of high quality, which helps children with SEND to make good progress.

Outdoor space

Children have good opportunities to develop their physical skills. They have regular access to the garden where they enjoy running, balancing, playing with balls and pedalling tricycles.

My son spent a wonderful 2 years at Moreton Baptist Preschool. A lovely homely feel preschool. Every staff member genuinely cares for all the children and families. My sons confidence has grown hugely and he has thrived thanks to this preschool. Highly recommend.

This preschool is hands down the best preschool and if I could rate it infinite stars I would! All 3 of my children have been here in the last 8-9 years and I can not reccomend them enough! The staff to child ratio is perfect meaning that all children are happy and cared for with ease. The care and attention shown to each individual child is incredible and the progression of learning (through play!) ready for primary school is brilliant. My two older children started primary school scores ahead of their peers, and I imagine my youngest will do the same in September. Drop off and pick up times are perfect if you have older children to take and collect from school first. The staff become like family and you will never want your children to leave! 100% reccomend!

Moreton Baptist preschool, is the most gorgeous place to send your child my child was in a different nursery before i was recommended moreton baptist, i can honestly say it was the best decision we made moving him, the staff are amazing, my little boy has been here since he was 3, he absolutely loves its and he is getting ready for big school now, I would 100% recommend this preschool, they way they are with the children, how they teach the children and they are so caring and kind. If I could give them 10 stars I would. ❤️

Absolutely outstanding Preschool, my daughter never settled at any other setting until we started here. The team have worked closely with us to understand her needs and help her gain confidence. She will leave the preschool truly ready for school and able to face the next stages of her education. The preschool has a wonderful sense of community and they genuinely care about the children but also their families. It’s truly a gift for any child able to access the provision. On a final note the church do tea and bacon butties on a Friday morning and you can stay to get to know the other lovely families. What a gift Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have one child who currently attends and our second to join in September. The preschool is lovely, clean space, caring staff and offers everything a child could possibly need to start there learning journey.
