About this day nursery

Overton Nursery & Pre-School Centre, located in Upton, Wirral, offers flexible and affordable childcare solutions. The nursery prides itself on working around parents' schedules, providing options such as term-time only sessions, shift pattern sessions without requiring extensive notice, and flexible hourly arrangements like 9-3 or 10-2, where parents only pay for the hours they need.

The centre does not require a deposit or a minimum session commitment. They boast highly qualified staff, including a primary school teacher who leads the Pre-School.

Overton Nursery significantly expanded its garden areas to three times their original size, demonstrating an investment in the children's environment. They also provide Breakfast & After-School Clubs and Holiday Clubs with meals included, all without hidden extras.

The nursery aims to make childcare accessible and affordable, with parents reportedly saving an average of £360 per month on full-time places compared to other nurseries. They offer both 15-hour and 30-hour funded early education places, available term-time or stretched, covering childcare and early education without obligating parents to purchase additional services.

Hot lunches are available for an extra charge, though packed lunches are also permitted.

What it's like

The nursery is currently operating from its main hall due to a recent water pipe burst and flood of the group rooms. Staff have successfully organised the large space into appropriate, welcoming areas for all age groups, who have quickly settled into the new play space and slightly adapted routines. There is a calm atmosphere, with children positively engaged in their learning, and all children are very well behaved and kind to their friends.
