Opening hours
8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, all year round
Motherspet in London, operating since 2024, provides childcare on non-domestic premises for children aged 1 to 4 years. Open all year round, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, the nursery aims to create a welcoming and secure environment where children feel happy and settled.
While the latest Ofsted inspection on June 5, 2025, rated the nursery as "Requires Improvement," parents have expressed that their children feel content and secure. The nursery ensures daily access to outdoor play areas, including visits to local playgrounds and parks, where children can strengthen their large muscles through activities like sliding, swinging, and climbing.
Inside, children engage in messy play and mark-making to develop their fine motor skills. Staff support children's emotional well-being, especially during settling-in periods, and children are encouraged to develop good hygiene practices and self-care skills.
The curriculum is planned around children's interests and topics, and leaders are actively working with the local authority to make further improvements. Although the quality of teaching is variable, and there are currently no effective arrangements for supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) due to the absence of a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), the nursery is committed to enhancing its provision.
Safeguarding arrangements are effective, with a positive culture that prioritises children's interests.
