Inclusion & environment
Staff create an inclusive environment, implementing strategies that meet children's individual learning needs. Staff in all rooms across the nursery use visual timetables and objects of reference to support children's understanding of transitions within the daily routine.
Children benefit from time spent outdoors in the extensive garden. They particularly enjoy playing with water. Children work in pairs to collect water from the pump, using their strength and coordination as they turn the wheel to activate the pump, supporting their physical skills.
Our child attended Sunflowers Nursery from just 9 months old until we moved him on to preschool. The only reason for the move was that the preschool is within a primary school setting that we plan for him to attend long term — otherwise, we would have happily kept him at Sunflowers. Sunflowers has been exceptional from start to finish. It truly feels like a home from home, with a loving, family environment that made us feel completely at ease leaving our child there each day. He loved every single moment of his time at Sunflowers and was always happy, settled and excited to go in. The staff are outstanding — caring, attentive and genuinely invested in the children. We will always be grateful for the love, care and support they gave our son during such important early years. An amazing experience overall, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sunflowers Nursery to other families. 🌻✨
