Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders swiftly identify children's individual needs and act promptly to reduce any barriers to learning. Leaders ensure staff working with children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who have adverse childhood experiences have the training they need to provide experiences that are tailored and effective. Staff also conduct their own research to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to support children. They work closely with parents and external professionals to ensure children receive coordinated help. For example, staff have designed a pack for parents that gives them detailed information about their children's condition, including strategies and resources for them to continue children's learning at home.

Outdoor space

Children take managed risks during outdoor play. Children develop their physical skills during play in the outdoor environment. Those using ride-on toys manoeuvre around obstacles and become spatially aware. They solve problems, such as when their wheels get stuck and they need to work out how to free their vehicle.

EAL / language support

Children enjoy a language-rich environment. Staff sing traditional songs with children in their home languages and use home languages during care routines to help children settle. Staff use sign language, physical gestures and facial expressions to convey meaning and help children communicate successfully.

Such a warm a welcoming environment! My little boy has been at Safe Hands for nearly a year, I have seen so much progression in him with his eating abilities, socialising, and confidence in new situations. The staff at safe hands are extremely attentive and willing to help your child succeed. I receive regular updates and pictures of what my child has been up to and never feel I need to worry about him at nursery. We are going to start potty training shortly and I have so much confidence that the staff will help us along this journey. Thank you! :)

From day one, Vicky and her team have been welcoming, supportive, and reassuring. My daughter started in January, and they have made a real effort to get to know her as an individual. The team are always approachable and never make me feel like I’m bothering them when I have questions. The nursery itself is a lovely setting, and I would 100% recommend it.

What a lovely nursery this is….. I take my grandson there in the mornings. I feel that the children’s happiness and safety are paramount. The staff are friendly and very approachable and greet him with a lovely warm welcome, a big smile and a hug. The nursery is well equipped with a wide range of activities to keep small people busy! He is always so excited to attend which is so lovely to see. I would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you to the lovely staff for all that you do and taking such good care of a precious bundle. 😊

Our son started Safehands in May 2025, and from the very beginning, we have felt completely reassured and grateful for the care he's received. From our very first show around, through the settling-in sessions, to where he is now, the team has consistently gone above and beyond to make him feel safe, happy, and understood. What stood out to us immediately was how quickly the staff got to know him as an individual. They paid close attention to his likes, interests, and personality, and it's been such a joy to see how they nurture those with thoughtful activities and gentle encouragement. They've also been incredibly attentive in noticing and celebrating his little milestones and developments, which means so much to us. The staff are not only professional and knowledgeable but also genuinely warm and personable. It's clear they care deeply about the children, and the bonds they create are truly special.

From the day we visited the daycare, we knew it was the perfect one for our daughter. We loved the nursery, but the best part was the friendly and helpful manner of the manager. Since our daughter started, we've seen an improvement in every way! The best thing of all is seeing how much our daughter loves all the staff and how happy she is at daycare. I recommend Safehands 100% ❤️
