Partou Sunny Days Day Nursery & Pre-School, established in 2017, offers childcare for children aged 0-4 years at its Ellesmere Port location. The nursery maintains a child-centred approach, ensuring children are happy and settled while making continuous progress from their individual starting points.
With a strong emphasis on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, the dedicated staff carefully plan meaningful activities to extend each child's learning and development. Children benefit from consistent routines and boundaries, which help them manage their feelings and behaviours, share, and develop independence.
The nursery also prioritises outdoor learning, where children engage in large-scale activities like printing and painting, supporting their muscle development. In addition, the setting provides comprehensive support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), working closely with parents and external services to create tailored plans and adaptations to ensure every child thrives.
The nursery is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, providing a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
Our ethos
The nursery's approach is child-led, focused on individual needs and interests to foster happy, confident, and curious learners. They are committed to preparing children for their next stage of life by developing independence, positive attitudes, and essential school skills. Partou Sunny Days also believes in building strong personal relationships with each child and their family to create a sense of belonging.
What it's like
Children are happy and settled, engaging well with their key person and making continuous progress from their starting points, including those who face barriers to learning. They benefit from activities that support their physical development, communication, and independence, while also learning valuable social skills and developing self-assurance through participation in the "Pre-school Committee".
Fees are split into care, meals, and consumables, charged over 52 weeks of the year including bank holidays. Government funding only covers the care component, meaning meals and consumables remain fully chargeable. A five percent discount is offered to Blue Light Card holders and eldest siblings.

Inclusion & environment
Leaders and staff implement a consistent and secure approach to inclusion across the setting. Children with barriers to their learning are swiftly identified and plans put in place to support their progress, including referrals to external services like speech and language therapy. Children receiving disability access and early years pupil premium funding get tailored support, such as small-group activities, and individual plans are consistently reviewed and updated for continued progress.
Children benefit from spending time outdoors, where staff provide large-scale activities such as printing and painting using tools to help promote their muscle development.
Both my daughters have been to Sunny Days. My eldest started when she was 1 and has just left to go to school. She settled very quickly and loved nursery and would talk about her friends and the staff (especially Tori) all the time. My youngest is still there. She took a bit longer to settle but the staff worked really hard to make sure she was happy and gave us lots of extra settling in sessions. She loves it now! Both girls loved the food, there are lots of activities, and they accommodated my daughter’s physio sessions. I have no doubts at all that they are well looked after and I would highly recommend the nursery.
Read on GoogleMy Daughter has been attending Sunny Days since she was 9 months old. Turning 3 in September, she has now had over two years of wonderful care, guidance and nurturing from the staff. She always comes away with a smile at the end of the day, and tells me what fun she has had, or a new skill she's learned. The communication from staff is excellent and as a parent, I feel totally confident in the capabilities of the staff while my daughter is in their care. It's like one big family unit and I highly recommend Sunny Days to anybody wanting to provide their child with a stable, warm and fulfilled environment.
Read on GoogleMy son has attended for almost 2 years. He really struggled to settle in his previous nursery from the age of 9 months and this left me worried about leaving him being my first child. I took the plunge and moved him to Sunny Days and I can honestly say it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The staff worked so hard to help him feel settled and worked with his needs to get him to enjoy the nursery. He now asks to go to the nursery on weekends and can’t wait to see all his friends and staff members in the mornings. He comes home and talks about how much he loves his teachers and how much fun he’s had. The staff have excellent communication skills and are really approachable. My son loves the food at nursery and will eat everything that is cooked for him as he says the food is so yummy. Management is really helpful and approachable, they are always happy to help and go above and beyond for children and parents. The rooms and outdoors always look lovely and inviting with different activities.
Read on GoogleWe love Sunny Days nursery. The staff are absolutely amazing and have been super supportive with our son who really struggled to settle in due to separation anxiety. They were really accommodating with helping him settle in and he's now loves going to nursery. The staff always have such amazing things planned for the kids and even have the occasional day out, which is super cute. Our son has been there since he was 1 and half and is now in the preschool, aged 3 and we have never had any issues. We cannot recommend this nursery enough.
Read on GoogleMy son loves this nursery. He has been going since he was 11 months and has come on leaps and bounds . There are always fun activities planned each day with themes, messy play opportunities, a soft play room and lovely outside space. I love getting updates throughout the day via the app. There is always a good variety of healthy meals and snacks offered. The girls at sunny days are all absolutely lovely, very kind, approachable and reassuring, very pleased with our experience at this nursery!
