Peapods Early Learning Centre Ltd in Hillingdon is dedicated to fostering a secure and enriching environment where children can thrive. The centre prioritizes a collaborative approach with parents and carers to ensure a smooth transition for each child into the nursery setting.
Upon enrolment, both children and their families are invited to participate in "settling in" sessions, designed to help children become accustomed to their new surroundings and form bonds with staff. A key person is assigned to each child, responsible for facilitating their integration and acting as a primary point of contact for parents.
During these initial sessions, comprehensive information about the child is gathered, and registration forms, including "All About Me" and "Room Based Questionnaire," are completed. Parents are also introduced to the nursery's policies and procedures.
The settling-in process is designed to gradually ease children into the nursery routine, with parents initially joining their children for short periods before children stay independently for brief sessions. Staff are committed to comforting any distressed children and maintaining open communication with parents regarding their child's progress, social interactions, engagement in activities, and familiarity with the environment and resources.
The nursery also provides a clear list of essential items for a child's first day, such as nappies, wipes, creams, a change of clothes, and comfort items, and ensures parents are regularly informed about supply replenishment.

Inclusion & environment
Staff work closely with parents and other professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. As a result, all children receive good opportunities to achieve well. Staff understand the needs of children who may need some extra support. When additional funding is in place for individual children, staff use this effectively to meet children's needs.
Children benefit from fresh air and a wealth of outdoor experiences all year round that enhance their learning, exploration and curiosity. Older children share, take turns and confidently pedal tricycles in the outdoor area. Younger children build confidence as they navigate climbing frames and obstacles and balance on equipment. Staff plan experiences to provide children with opportunities to explore the natural world, develop their communication skills and take risks within a safe environment.
My son attended the nursery when he was 2 years. Happy with the staff and the education. However had to move him to another nursery when he turned 3 and then progress onto reception. Hopefully will send my other son too once he turns 2!
Read on GoogleWe are so overjoyed with this nursery for our son. I visited every nursery worth visiting in Hillingdon, Hayes and Ruislip and even started at an ofsted "outstanding" nursery in hayes to be extremely disappointed. I drive 15 mins to get to Peapods and it is 100% worth it. The staff have been great at settling my son in and will always give cuddles and comfort when needed. He comes back everyday with new songs he has learnt there and does so many activities in only half a day! They always vary the toys and play activities and they even focus on early writing skills and have a lot of phonics centred activiites. It is such an enriching experience for a 3 year old. I am so happy that I found this lovely place after such a long search!
