Outdoor space

The inspector observed activities, indoors and outdoors, and conducted a joint observation with leaders. Staff use ongoing risk assessment to ensure play areas are safe and suitable. They teach children the boundaries when they play outside. This helps children learn how to keep themselves safe.

EAL / language support

However, staff do not always build on these interactions to extend language for children who speak English as an additional language as effectively. As a result, not all children are fully supported to develop their communication and language skills.

My soon to be 2 year old has been attending this nursery for a couple of months now and I cannot recommend it highly enough, The team lead by the amazing nursery manager Shivon are second to none especially Macie and Tia, whom both our little one adores. They transitioned him into nursery life so well and provided reassurance to mummy and daddy all along. They balance indoor and outdoor play with teaching all new necessary tools. Ensure kids are well fed throughout the day and update us throughout via the app. We are blessed to have found such an amazing and truly loving nursery in them made absolutely awesome by the carers.

My niece and nephew both went to Sunflower house, and it has been great. Their ethos is great, and has really boosted the children’s confidence while learning through play
