The nursery effectively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities through targeted learning plans, ensuring all children make good progress. Outdoor play is encouraged, with children actively participating in health-promoting habits like wearing sun hats and applying sun cream before going outside.
The curriculum focuses on developing children's skills, from strengthening hands and fingers in babies and toddlers to extending design and construction skills in older pre-schoolers through engaging activities. Managers actively monitor staff workload, making beneficial changes, such as reducing curriculum planning to allow more time for staff to interact directly with children and promote their learning.
This helps ensure that the nursery delivers high-quality early education and care, with safety and well-being as a priority, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Inclusion & environment
When children with special educational needs and/or disabilities have a targeted learning plan in place, everyone follows agreed strategies. All children make good progress.
Children learn habits to promote good health, such as putting on sun hats and applying sun cream before going outdoors to play in the sunshine. This helps children to take responsibility for their own health and safety from an early age.
My son started Pepperberry when he was 5 months old; as my only child I was very anxious but, all the staff put me at ease straight away. The care and attention that my son received every day and the outstanding communication to keep me informed of the activities he was doing, his routine and his sleep times were invaluable in making his first phase enjoyable. Compared to peers who don’t attend Pepperberry, my son is better at sharing, articulate, can recall more and is more confident; he is also very happy. This was accelerated further when he moved to his second phase. As a secondary school teacher, I was amazed to see the level of detail that went into the planning. A book underpins the termly learning and the learning points are clearly highlighted to make sure that progress is made whilst the children have lots of fun. Again, the communication is excellent and I trust my son’s practitioners implicitly. It is clear when we sit down to eat that my son has been modelled good behaviour and manners and this comes home with him! As my sons progresses, I am looking forward to watching him develop and grow as I know he will continue to thrive at Pepperberry. Overall, the management team at Pepperberry are outstanding! Nothing is too much trouble and the activities they do to engage children and parents is far better than any other provision I’ve experienced. From Body Shop parties for busy mums, Easter bonnet parades and grandparents morning, we are all included and really made to feel welcome. I would not send my son anywhere else!
Read on GoogleI couldn’t recommend pepperberry enough! My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting at the nursery. She really enjoys her sessions and it shows! ALL the staff are so lovely, trustworthy and attentive, and have also supported me as a parent!! I feel very content knowing my daughter is in the great care of the staff.
Read on GoogleWe are very grateful to Pepperberry and their wonderful staff who have supported our 18 month into nursery for the first time. They make effort to know everyone on an individual basis, making it feel more like a family run nursery. Staff are welcoming and kind and facilities and activities are enriching (including large outdoor spaces with vegetable garden) Having recently moved to the UK with little support nearby, when we gave birth they happily helped us by taking our eldest on a non-nursery day. Recommend!!
Read on GoogleOur daughter has been very happy here for the past year, the staff are caring and our daughter happily goes into nursery every day with excitement. In terms of development, our daughter has advanced tremendously and is far beyond where we thought she would be at this stage - staff recognise the different needs of the children and respond accordingly. Thank you Pepperberry for everything so far!
Read on GoogleThe nursery is always clean and well organised and the day is planned around fun games and activities. The nursery is respectful of all faiths and backgrounds, and try their utmost to introduce the children to global festivals and important calendar days. The meals are on time, well planned and healthy and the children also get to enjoy a very important nap during the day. The nursery is extremely particular about the general health of children at the nursery and will immediately inform parents when there is an outbreak of any kind. The communication has always been informative, well timed and detailed. Thank you anyways for making my son feel right at home and allowing him to flourish. He has the best time there and it’s evident by how excited he is to go to nursery. Thank you for being his second family and working so hard to help him with his words/sounds, we have started seeing a big improvement in his attempts at copying words
