The House Of Rompa, established in 1991, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years in Wilmslow. Open all year round, Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm, the nursery demonstrates exceptional flexibility in meeting parents' needs, including extending opening hours to support working families.

The setting achieved an Outstanding rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 5th March 2019. The curriculum for younger children includes stimulating activities such as popping bubbles, while older children explore their environment through outdoor activities like examining frozen water and listening to the crunch of snow.

The nursery places a strong emphasis on healthy eating, providing an excellent range of well-balanced meals daily and involving parents in menu planning. Highly effective monitoring and tracking of individual and group progress ensure outstanding outcomes for all children, with particular support for those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

This robust system enables the manager to quickly identify and address any gaps in learning. Children are also encouraged to participate in community activities, proudly raising money for local and international charity causes.

What it's like

Children are provided with an excellent range of healthy, well-balanced meals every day. Staff encourage parents to be involved in menu planning, for instance, parents sample children's meals while attending parents evenings. Staff are exceptionally flexible in their approach to meet the needs of the parents, for example, staff listen and respond to parents' wishes as they extend opening hours to support working families.
