My daughter attended Pippins Nursery for nearly two years, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. She was a very shy little girl when she first started, but thanks to the patience, support, and genuine care from the Pippins Nursery team, her confidence grew beautifully over time. Every day she goes to Pippins she is excited to attend, and she comes home happy, chatting away about how much fun she had with the staff and her friends. She has truly made her own little community there, and it’s been wonderful to see her feel so secure and included. Pippins has also played a huge role in developing her love for reading and learning the alphabet. At home, she often sings the alphabet song using the names of her classmates for each letter, which clearly shows how much she has learned and enjoyed her time at the nursery. I honestly can’t say thank you enough to the Pippins Nursery team. I’m sharing this review for any parents looking for a trusted, caring, and nurturing nursery in Morley for their little ones — Pippins is truly a fantastic choice.

I am a mother with limited English. I’ve always avoided conflict, never complained, and trusted this nursery to care for my child. But what happened has hurt me deeply, and I feel I must speak out — not just for me, but for my child and for other parents like me who may not have a voice. My daughter is just over 2 years old. She had been attending this nursery regularly. Last Friday, she came home with diarrhoea. I didn’t blame anyone — children can get sick — but I wanted to understand what happened. So on Monday, I gently informed the staff about my baby problem. Instead of giving me any information or reassurance, I was told, “Not our problem. Her own problem.” That was the only answer. I was then told to take my daughter home. I felt shocked and dismissed. At other nurseries, I know they inform parents properly, show food hygiene records, or at least answer with care. But here, I was treated like I didn’t deserve even a proper explanation. Even then, I didn’t argue. I emailed them later that day, explaining I would withdraw my daughter at the end of the month. I had already paid the full month’s fees. My daughter continued to attend as usual — on Wednesday, and Thursday — and everything seemed normal. But today (Friday), everything changed. When I brought my daughter in, I was suddenly told that she couldn’t come in anymore. The owner sad I talk badly about them with other nursery. The only thing I tell other nursery is the way Pippins answer me on Monday. I tried to explain calmly. I said I had paid, and that I was just being honest when I told another nursery about my concerns. But they wouldn’t listen. No discussion. No care. Just shut me out — in front of other parents. I was humiliated, heartbroken, and powerless. I went home crying. I felt like they treated me like I didn’t matter, just because I don’t speak English well. I contacted Leeds City Council to ask for help. But I was even more shocked when the Council later told me the nursery had claimed that they never refused entry, and that my daughter was still welcome — a complete lie. If that were true, then why would I — a mother with limited English who avoids conflict — contact the Council at all? Why would I cry in front of strangers? Why would I write this review if everything was “normal”? This wasn’t just unfair. It was dishonest. I feel this happened because I am not a native English speaker. I truly believe they would never treat a British parent the way they treated me. Before all this, I had already stayed quiet through many small problems: – My daughter came home more than once with toilet stains still on her clothes. – I was made to sign an accident form without being allowed to read it — staff even covered it with their hand. – One staff member consistently treated me with a cold and dismissive attitude. But I never complained. I wanted to believe in the good of people. I thought things would improve. I know I can’t do anything, but I have the truth, and I believe many other parents — especially those who speak limited English — will understand this pain. Please be careful. Ask questions. Don’t just trust appearances. I hope no other parent has to go through what I’ve gone through. I am writing this not out of anger, but from a place of deep emotional pain, and the need to finally stand up — for myself and for my child.
