Pomegranate Nursery, established in May 2024, is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children from 6 months to 5 years can thrive. The nursery prides itself on its state-of-the-art facilities, which include a spacious outdoor area equipped with a climbing frame, sandpit, and water play features, alongside bright and airy indoor spaces for exploration.
The curriculum is enriched with a special Jewish education and a new forest school programme, fostering confidence and a love for the outdoors, rooted in Jewish values. Healthy eating is a priority, with kosher, freshly prepared hot meals and snacks included in the fees, and children actively participate in meal preparations to develop various skills.
The nursery uses the Famly app to ensure seamless communication with parents, providing updates on their child's day and maintaining high safeguarding standards. Louise Hakim, a qualified teacher with over a decade of early years experience, leads the team as Nursery Manager, committed to creating an environment where children learn and grow.
Pomegranate Nursery emphasises accessibility for families, offering flexible part-time options and a simple three-step application process, starting with an expression of interest and culminating in a personalised fee calculation and place reservation.

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
one parent commented, "I am so happy with the progress my child has made, since starting here. They are so much more confident and settled."
Inclusion & environment
Staff recognise children's individual learning styles and needs, adapting the curriculum to meet these effectively.
Toddlers independently master large, physical play equipment, like climbing frames, outdoors. Older children gather fallen conkers from the nursery grounds and use them to 'cook' delicious meals in the outdoor mud kitchen. Children who are feeling frustrated take themselves to a quiet space outdoors and read for a while before returning happily to play. Children play outside regularly, building new large-muscle skills and enjoying fresh air.
Children who speak English as an additional language make swift progress, partly as a result of the targeted support provided by staff.
