What it's like to attend

• Children arrive at the nursery happily and independently participate in activities.
• Children benefit from a range of learning experiences, exploring and experimenting with different materials to stimulate their senses and learn about cause and effect.
• Children flourish in a nurturing environment, feeling safe and secure with familiar adults and strong bonds with their key person.
• Children greatly enjoy using large wooden planks to construct and practise problem-solving skills, showing resilience and collaborating to achieve desired outcomes.
• Children are very independent and staff provide them with multiple opportunities throughout the day to build upon their skills, such as pouring their own water and carrying meals.
• Staff feel well supported by the management team, who regularly supervises the team to identify areas for improvement and set targets.
• The manager has recently implemented changes within the environment to further enhance opportunities for children.
• Staff are competent at monitoring children's progress, swiftly identifying those needing additional support and working with other professionals.
• Staff promote children's well-being by offering plenty of opportunities for physical activity and exercise.
• Staff support families with home learning through ideas, information, and resources like borrowable books and home-learning bags.
• The manager and wider management team regularly reflect on and evaluate the environment, making adaptations based on the children's cohort and attending training to refresh their knowledge and skills.
• The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with staff having a secure understanding of safeguarding issues and robust recruitment procedures.
• Staff work with parents to encourage good health and hygiene at home, particularly in relation to diet and oral health.
