Opening hours
weekday, between 7.30am and 6pm, all year round, with the exception of bank holidays and a week in December
Red Robins Day Nursery, established in 2021, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. Open all year round on weekdays between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, except for bank holidays and one week in December, the nursery focuses on delivering a "Good" quality of education, as affirmed by their latest Ofsted inspection on June 27, 2023.
The nursery emphasises meaningful, well-planned play opportunities, with staff offering clear explanations to help children build new knowledge in a calm environment. Children are encouraged to confidently choose their activities and listen carefully to both peers and adults.
Leaders prioritise sharing stories and songs to develop children's vocabulary and understanding of the world. Parents frequently praise the strong bonds their children form with staff and the notable progress in communication and language skills.
While the nursery has introduced sign language to support communication, the report notes that consistent application by all staff is an area for development. Outdoors, babies and young children receive close supervision, although the current setup means they are not always able to explore as freely as older children.
Staff are positive role models, promoting good behaviour and helping children to express themselves effectively. At meal times, children are encouraged to eat healthily and develop self-help skills.
The nursery uses an online system to keep parents updated, fostering a strong home-nursery connection for reinforcing learning.

Inclusion & environment
While leaders state that they have introduced the use of sign language to help children further with their communication and language skills, not all staff use signs consistently or regularly with the children.
Outdoors, babies and young children have attention, support and close supervision from staff. However, they are not always able to explore the environment as older children play around them busily, limiting their ability to explore freely.
We couldn’t be more grateful to Red Robins Day Nursery. Our son has been attending since he was 1 year old, and now at 3, we can truly see how much love, support, and encouragement he has received from everyone there. From the very beginning, the staff have made us feel welcomed, supported, and reassured, which as parents is such a comfort. The care they provide goes far beyond looking after the children – they nurture them, inspire their curiosity, and help them grow with kindness and patience. Our son has flourished in their care, developing not only important skills but also confidence, independence, and a real joy for learning and playing with others. We also deeply appreciate the way the nursery supports families as a whole. The communication, encouragement, and genuine warmth they show make such a difference to our everyday lives. We feel so fortunate to have found such a wonderful place for our child. We cannot thank them enough for everything they do. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their little one.
Read on GoogleWe would really recommend Red Robins-the staff are friendly, approachable, open, communicative and promote innovative ways of learning, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is evidenced via daily updates on Tapestry showing our little one participating in activities in a safe, clean environment, using a variety of materials which is part of their life story. The staff work hard and the nursery is open 7.30am-6pm, which allows flexibility with work. Fees include consumables-which again supports daily family life. Our little one enjoys attending. Thanks for making the transition to nursery a positive experience.
Read on GoogleLovely nursery staff, Izzy and Rachel who took good care of our child whilst in their care. Hayley, the nursery manager is rude, condescending and arrogant. If it were just the nursery staff we would have stayed but Hayley who is also the owner made it unbearable with her behaviour. Always had wrong invoices and lies to cover up her mistakes. Children always ill because no safety or hygiene measures taken. I wouldn't recommend the nursery.
Read on GoogleOver nearly 4 years my daughter thrived here and the staff have done a fantastic job of prepping her for school life and building up her confidence. The whole team are friendly & professional and we can not thank them enough for supporting our daughter through tough family events too! They go above and beyond.
Read on GoogleBoth my children have attended Red Robins and we couldn’t recommend them enough. Both children are so excited to go and we see all the staff like an extension of our family. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they go above and beyond for each and every one of the children. Thank you so much for everything!
