Last year we called around to find a nursery for our autistic, non-verbal son. This setting agreed to take him; we sent all forms and his EHCP and waited roughly 4–6 weeks with no childcare in the meantime. The tour was reassuring and his settling-in day was reported as going well. On the first official day, we received a call within an hour asking for the EHCP again, which I emailed immediately. About 30 minutes later we were told to collect him and that he couldn’t attend. My son had not done anything. They just reviewed the documents properly which I hadn’t done in the six weeks prior. We had been paying for a place, so this caused significant disruption and stress. In follow-up meetings, the nursery acknowledged someone should have reviewed the EHCP earlier. A group SENCO apologised and suggested a place at their Northampton site, around 40 minutes from home. While individual staff were polite, the process failed our child. In my opinion, the nursery was not prepared to support SEND despite prior disclosure and ample time to review documents. I would not recommend this setting for children with additional needs unless they can clearly demonstrate readiness and a thorough pre-start plan.

Only given one star as its not possible to give zero! Moved my 2 year old son here from another nursery as we have moved on to the ise Estate, on his second day we sent him off with his lunch in a resealable lunchbox trusting that the staff would make sure he had his meal. That night we went to clean out his bag and his lunch clearly had not been touxhed, he had been sat down and his box put in front of him, no member of staff thought that maybe a 2 year old would need it opening for him, then without even noticing or caring that his lunch was untouched put his box away leaving him from 7.30 am until 4.00 pm with absolutely nothing to eat, we have asked for updates on what is being done to prevent this happening again to be told a member of staff would ring us back, still waiting. Rhymtime nursery clearly don't think as parents we are entitled to an explanation of why our son was left all day hungry. We have now removed our son with immediate effect from here as we no longer have any trust of Confidence that they can take adequate care of our son.

This is the most flexible childcare provider ever! They will admit your child with very little notice. So understanding and accommodating!
