Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) well, speaking with parents and making timely referrals to secure needed support. The SENCo helps staff identify and plan appropriate activities, and Makaton is used in all rooms to support children with speech delay or hearing impairments.

Outdoor space

Children have regular access to outdoor learning; staff teach them to care for animals and plants and support age-appropriate risk taking, such as using wheeled toys and climbing trees. However, babies can only access the outdoor space once each day, limiting their opportunities to learn outdoors.
