Areas to develop
Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents speak very highly of the setting.
They value the 'hard work and effort' of the entire team and the impact this has had on their children's development.
Inclusion & environment
Leaders and managers create a curriculum that is ambitious for all children, including those who may have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff use their understanding of what children already know and can do to plan a range of interesting opportunities to meet children's individual needs. Staff spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.
Toddlers are inquisitive about the herb garden outside. Staff help them learn new words, such as 'mint, scent' and 'taste'. Older babies get help to find their own shoes before going outside and take them off when they come inside.
Leaders and managers create a curriculum that is ambitious for all children, including those who speak English as an additional language. Staff across the setting are able to speak a number of languages. They recognise children's levels of understanding and seamlessly switch between English and children's home languages to support their engagement and understanding.
My son joined the baby group this year and I can’t rate the staff highly enough. My friend recommended this nursery as her child went there and loved her time there. They offered him a space 6 months prior to his start which was really appreciated as many other nurseries in the area provided short notice (4 weeks ahead of start) that didn’t allow you to make any plans whilst also taking a waiting list fee from you. The staff are attentive and seem to have a real attachment and interest in the children. They host and put a lot of effort into regular events that includes the parents such as breakfasts and parades. It took a little while for my son to settle into the nursery but he really seems to be thriving at the nursery now and takes comfort in the company of the baby room staff. Massive thanks to Seona, Evelyn, Shannon and all for all they do and for doing probably one of the toughest jobs.
