Sally-Anna's Day Nursery, located in Stoke-on-Trent, ST7 3DZ, is a well-established childcare setting that has been operating since 2000 and re-registered in 2009. The nursery, housed on non-domestic premises, serves children from birth to four years old and is led by a team of 25 childcare staff, all qualified at Level 2 or above.
Inspectors noted that children are happy and settled, benefiting from warm greetings and developing good relationships with staff and peers. The curriculum is designed around children's interests, providing a richly stimulating environment where children enjoy exploring both indoors and outdoors, developing new skills and independence.
The nursery embraces a curiosity approach, offering various activities like role-play with real-life resources, habitat creation, and water play. They also provide enriching experiences through visits to local parks, canal walks, and the library to foster understanding of the wider community.
The provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is a particular strength, with staff collaborating closely with outside agencies to meet individual needs effectively.

Inclusion & environment
The provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is a strength of the nursery. Staff work closely with a wide range of outside agencies to ensure that the unique needs of all children are met.
Children enjoy exploring the outdoor environment, developing many new skills and increasing their independence. Staff support children's communication and language development effectively, for example, children delight in sharing stories with staff outdoors.
Both of my child attend/have attended, the staff are caring and considerate of individual childrens needs. The environment is welcome (even in COVID), the little extras they do in class such as sports clubs, music and languages makes all the difference.
