Inclusion & environment
Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, generally progress well through the broad and balanced curriculum on offer. Staff have an in-depth understanding of each individual child and make adaptions to the routine and activities to ensure children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are included. Children who require additional help are well supported with individualised interventions and strategies.
Leaders have created a space in the garden dedicated to teaching children how to grow fruits and vegetables. Children spend time outside being physically active, helping staff to fill water dispensers and carry them to the mud kitchen area, where they role play the different flavours of tea for long periods.
The setting focuses on providing a language-rich environment that supports children to acquire and use language. Children are encouraged to sing familiar songs and develop a love of reading. Staff plan and implement tailored small-group activities to support specific areas of children's speech development, such as speech sounds.
Absolutely outstanding nursery! Our son joined at 4 months old and is now thriving at 16 months. The team are fantastic and really caring. The activities are so varied. He loves it here. The home-cooked dinners made from fresh produce are a big hit with him. We couldn't have asked for a better place for him to start his journey.
Read on GoogleWe count ourselves very lucky to have our 2 year old son attend Shenfield Day Nursery. The staff are fantastic....kind, loving, nurturing and always thinking of fun activities to do with the kids. We are regularly kept up to date with our son's progress and how he's doing. I honestly can't think of a single complaint! We are so so happy and would 100% recommend it to other parents.
Read on GoogleLovely nursery. Very Polite staff. However they allow loud building work to go on from 6am in the morning disturbing the surrounding residents who have reactive newborn/Pets. Very inconsiderate. Also thank you for allowing your security alarm to run from 5.50am till gone 7.00am, without being turned off.
Read on GoogleThis nursery is like a second home for my child. The stuff is incredible and the activities they do to support children's development and well being are amazing. They have an amazing impact on my child's life and I cannot thank them all enough❤️❤️
