Inclusion & environment
Staff recognise that some children need additional support to access learning and adapt the environment and their interactions to meet the needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They work well with external agencies to support their practice, leading to high levels of well-being and good progress for children with SEND.
Fantastic small childcare setting. I moved my daughter here after not being happy with her previous provision. All the staff are super friendly and helpful and my little one settled much better than her previous setting. My daughter always tells me that she's had a lovely day on the way home and communication through the app and pick ups is really good. I believe this is a very good setting and would recommend to anyone locally who is thinking about childcare for 2-4 year olds or those moving their little one around 2 yrs. They offer term time provisions and holiday options. My little one loves getting out and about locally during the holidays. The holiday offer has been great for me as a working mum.
Read on GoogleMy little boy started at Silkstone pre-school playgroup in September. He had been attending another nursery prior to this but settled in here so well. He absolutely loves going and often asks me if he's going into nursery. His key workers have made a real effort to get to know him well and they often post pictures on to the app that the nursery use. It's great to see him doing so many different activities that help his learning and development on a daily basis. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

Read on GoogleHello tehre
Read on GoogleWe couldn’t be happier with our experience at this preschool. Our son has been attending since he had just turned two and is now preparing to move up to school in September. Having the same key worker throughout has been so valuable for his confidence and sense of security. The progress he’s made has been incredible—not just developmentally, but in his confidence, friendships, and overall happiness. When he first started, he was quite nervous at drop-off, but thanks to the care and support from the staff, he now runs in without looking back, which says everything about how comfortable he feels. The team truly go above and beyond. Communication is excellent, whether through parents’ evenings, chats at the door, or updates on the app—you always feel informed and involved. The environment is constantly evolving with new activities and provisions to keep things engaging. They also put on lovely events like Christmas performances and themed days, which are always so special. The holiday club is a fantastic bonus, and it’s been great that the routine and familiar setting stay consistent during school breaks. We’re so grateful for the care and dedication they’ve shown our son. It’s clear how much they genuinely care, and we feel very lucky to have been part of such a wonderful setting.
