Our ethos
At Skallywags, we believe that parent partnership is one of the most important aspects of early years care. We use the Famly app to track children’s development and stay in touch with parents and carers throughout the nursery day. This supports the sharing of information to ensure a smooth transition into nursery and creates a sense of belonging and ownership during their time with us.

How they support every child
SEND provision
Staff effectively support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to regulate emotions, adapt the provision to meet their needs, and make referrals to outside agencies for support. Leaders use funding to attend training to assess and identify gaps in children's communication and language development, and share next steps with parents, ensuring children's needs are fully met.
Outdoor space
All children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and children who face barriers to learning, enjoy playing outdoors. They dip thick paintbrushes and rollers in water, making large-scale body movements. Children enjoy riding cars and bikes in the outdoor area. Leaders are prioritising developing the outdoor space for the summer, creating areas for planting.

This review is in regard to the nurseries Hans Feibusch murals. Skallywags Nursery was previously St Crispin's Church and was built by Thomas F Ford with Murals by Feibusch and his associate. The building is listed which preserves these two beautiful Murals. Feibusch mural depicts St Crispin handing out shoes. The building provides ample space for the roll of children to learn and grow under these two beautiful murals The children from what I saw are well looked after. My visit was enabled by the effective administration team

Disappointed Very good presentation. Very happy to put the children there with words what they say. Very disappointed end with the manager and the staff to try and protect themselves. Rules are rules but you can use warning not to make show and drama with kids. End of the day we are human and we can make mistakes but not to traumatise kids like the staffs doing on this nursing. Ofsted hve to make a routine check with that nursery and staff aswell. From my experience not recommended 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

I don't know what wrong this nursery I been apply for my son over 2 years ago and I dint hear anything from them since that time. Then I call them more than 20 times and they keep me call back and tell me a manager is busy. So today is a last time I call a nusery and thanks for your help (is mean no help at all ).

Our son went there. The main thing is that they did brilliant work and we are happy with our son development!!!
