Small World Day Nursery, established in 2018 in Woolton, Liverpool, offers outstanding full-day care for children aged 0–4 years, operating all year round from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Underpinning its success is inspirational leadership that tailors education and care to each child's individual needs, ensuring they are highly motivated and confident learners with a strong desire for knowledge.

The nursery implements a broad and securely embedded curriculum, providing rich indoor and outdoor learning experiences that enable children to make excellent progress across all areas. The support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and their families is exemplary, with leaders actively championing children and supporting parents through initiatives like weekend cafe mornings.

Our ethos

At Small World Day Nursery we provide a welcoming and emotionally secure environment where learning takes place through a careful balance of play experiences and structured activities. Activities are planned by the staff to enable children to develop necessary skills in the EYFS curriculum. We aim to unlock the potential of every child whilst offering safe and affordable childcare.

Pricing & funding

Fees are payable weekly or monthly in advance by standing order. Charges apply for bank holidays, with the Christmas period charged as a separate payment. Parents must provide a two-week deposit to secure a place, and children are entitled to two weeks of half-rate fees for holidays per year.

SEND provision

The support given to children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and their families is exemplary. Children's individual needs are central to all planning. Leaders champion the children in their care, encouraging parents to hold high ambitions for all children. Leaders hold frequent café mornings at weekends to give children and families a place they can play, support each other and share experiences. This support has been life-changing for many children and their families.

Outdoor space

The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
