South Bermondsey Community Nursery, registered in 2016, operates from the South Bermondsey Children's Centre in London and is part of The London Early Years Foundation. The nursery, which received a "Good" rating from Ofsted on April 6, 2023, is open Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm, for most of the year, closing only for bank holidays and a few days over Christmas.
It provides full-day care for children aged 1 to 4 years old. The setting benefits from a strong curriculum, guided by a new manager and supported by senior managers who offer regular training and guidance to its 17 staff members, 11 of whom hold relevant early years qualifications.
The nursery prides itself on fostering independence in children, encouraging them to confidently explore their surroundings and develop physical skills. Children are also taught about healthy eating by a chef who is part of the childcare team and engages them in discussions about nutrition.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported. Staff act promptly if children are behind their typical development, liaise with parents, and put additional support in place, ensuring all children make good progress.
Children enjoy much time spent outside, which supports their emotional regulation. They run off excess energy playing hide-and-seek and take part in planting and growing activities.
It’s a great place for our child to grow. Very personable staff, friendly, educating and a family atmosphere. We are so happy to find this incredible nursery and really happy with the help our child gets. Highly recommended!

Read on GoogleThe nursery space is really good but the staff could have been better. Although some of the staff members are lovely. Also, the staff changes often which makes it difficult for the kids to settle in.
