5 acres of greenbelt land. Established in 1985, the nursery prides itself on being a family-run establishment dedicated to providing a "home from home" setting while delivering a comprehensive nursery education.

They offer full-time care from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The nursery incorporates the Montessori approach, alongside Forest School activities, sensory play, and focused pre-school teaching, with an emphasis on speech and language development.

Their modern, purpose-built pre-school features welcoming and stimulating rooms, each with its own outdoor space, allowing children to explore and develop safely. The extensive outdoor area includes a bike track, forest, and mud kitchen.

Springfield Montessori Nursery utilises the Famly App to keep parents updated on their child's daily progress. They develop their policies with guidance from the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) and offer a Local Offer.

The nursery accepts Early Education Funding for eligible children from 9 months old, allowing for both 15 and 30 hours of funded childcare.

How they support every child

SEND provision

All children are making outstanding progress and are confident and independent learners. This includes children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and children who speak English as an additional language. The special educational needs coordinator, as well as staff, supports children with SEND very well. They liaise with a wide range of professionals and attend additional training as required. Highly focused plans are in place and regularly reviewed. Adaptions are made within the environment, activities and equipment. This helps to support children with SEND to be included in all daily tasks and have equal opportunities in their learning experiences.

Outdoor space

The large outdoor environment is breathtaking. Staff actively promote the benefits of learning, both indoors and outdoors, with children. Children run around in large spaces, climb and eagerly explore in the natural forest area. This contributes to children being active, and they develop impressive physical skills.

EAL / language support

All children are making outstanding progress and are confident and independent learners. This includes children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and children who speak English as an additional language.
