The nursery received an 'Outstanding' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 23rd May 2022. Managers hold high expectations for every child, and staff are highly skilled in teaching children to the highest level, fostering an environment where children flourish.
The curriculum is designed around children's interests and learning styles, encouraging engagement in stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors. The support for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), is highly effective, with staff working closely with other professionals to ensure every child achieves their full potential.
This inclusive approach is a cornerstone of the nursery's ethos. Communication and language skills are exceptionally well-supported, with staff using sign language and introducing new vocabulary.
The nursery also excels in fostering strong partnerships with parents, sharing comprehensive information to ensure a consistent approach to children's development.

Inclusion & environment
The support for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, is highly effective. Staff work closely with other professionals and take on board any suggestions that they make, to help with children's development. This inclusive approach helps all children to achieve their full potential.
The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.

Stanley's at Bede registered in 2004. The nursery employs seven members of childcare staff, all holding appropriate early years qualifications at level 3 or above. The nursery opens Monday to Friday, all year round, with sessions from 9am until midday and 1pm until 4pm, or 9am until 3pm or 10am until 4pm. The nursery provides funded early education for two-, three- and four-year-old children.
