Stanley's at Primrose, established in 2005, is a childcare setting in Jarrow that provides a nurturing environment for children aged 0-4 years. Rated 'Good' by Ofsted on December 4, 2025, the nursery prides itself on building strong, trusting relationships between staff and children, ensuring little ones feel secure and settle quickly.
The curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is carefully tailored to individual needs, particularly supporting disadvantaged children and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to help them make excellent progress. Children enjoy daily outdoor play, supported by a garden currently undergoing refurbishment to further enhance learning opportunities.
Staff focus on developing communication and language skills, physical development, and ensuring children gain independence and confidence, preparing them for their next educational steps. The nursery maintains an open and positive safeguarding culture, with leaders and staff dedicated to children’s welfare and wellbeing.

Children enjoy daily opportunities for outdoor play, which helps them build strength, balance, and coordination. The garden is being refurbished to expand outdoor learning opportunities.
