Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

If children have delayed speech, staff work in partnership with parents and other professionals to introduce new words for children to learn. This helps to close gaps in their speaking skills.

Outdoor space

Staff supervise children well when they move around the pre-school. For example, when children move from indoors to the garden, staff ask them to walk in pairs and staff stand at the front and back. This helps to promote their safety when they walk around the car park.

EAL / language support

Children who speak English as an additional language are supported well with their language development. For example, staff learn keywords in their home language to communicate with children and help them to speak English.

Swallows Nest is a really wonderful pre-school. Two of my children have attended and have really loved it, The ladies who work there are so kind and look after the children with such love and care whilst also encouraging their independence and stimulating them. Most importantly though, they have lots of fun! One of my children has additional needs and they have supported him and us so well throughout the time he has been there, going above and beyond to think of ways in which to include him and make him happy & comfortable in the setting. Feel very grateful that my kids have had such a positive start to their school lives.❤️ I can honestly not recommend it highly enough.
