Tots and Scholars is a group of four nurseries providing early education for babies, toddlers, and preschool children aged 2 to 5 years, with one branch catering for babies up to 2 years. They aim to deliver an outstanding standard of care and education across all their branches, fostering environments where children feel secure, confident, and eager to learn daily.

Their educational approach integrates structured learning, play-based exploration, and outdoor experiences, ensuring children develop strong academic foundations alongside a joyful and nurturing early childhood. They focus on developing communication, literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills to prepare children for their future schooling.

Many of their pupils progress to respected independent schools, and the day nursery prides itself on supporting children's confidence, curiosity, and early academic development to equip them for the next stage of their educational journey. The owner, a parent herself, established the nurseries to offer an environment that supports both academic readiness and emotional confidence.

Our ethos combines learning through play, structured learning, and outdoor learning, ensuring children develop strong academic foundations while enjoying a joyful and nurturing early childhood experience. We believe the early years are the foundation for confidence, curiosity, and lifelong learning, and we strive to inspire a love of learning while providing children with the knowledge, skills, and self-belief they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

Pricing & funding

Tots and Scholars Nursery and Preschool offers 15 and 30 hours funding for eligible children. Parents are charged daily rates for meals, consumables, activities and resources, outings and events, and specialist teaching, which vary by the child's age group (9-23 Months, 2 Years, 3-4 Years Plus) and the type of funded hours. These listed costs are starting prices and may vary.
