Tees Valley Tots, situated in South Bank, Middlesbrough, is a welcoming nursery catering to children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. As a social enterprise and a part of the Tees Valley Women's Centre, the nursery offers affordable childcare, operating in full compliance with government and Ofsted guidelines, having achieved an "Outstanding" rating.

The nursery is committed to providing a stimulating and inclusive environment where children can thrive, offering a wide range of activities from messy play and cooking to problem-solving, all while following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The dedicated team of qualified practitioners prioritise safeguarding and nurture children's interests and curiosity, with a focus on both structured learning and play.

Healthy, nutritious meals and snacks are provided, accommodating various cultural and dietary needs. Children also benefit from outdoor play in a secure area, used all year round.

The nursery aims to develop strong links with parents and outside agencies, ensuring a supportive and engaging space for every child to reach their full potential. They also provide free childcare for women attending courses at the Women's Centre, removing a common barrier to learning.

At our Nursery we believe that every child deserves a safe, supportive and engaging space where they feel valued and confident. Our rooms are thoughtfully designed to encourage curiosity, independence and creativity through a balance of structured learning and play. We follow the Early Years Foundation (EYFS) framework, which helps us support each child’s development across key areas, the team observe and respond to each child’s individual needs, interests and learning, ensuring that no two days are ever the same.

Pricing & funding

The nursery offers full day, morning, and afternoon sessions, with fees varying depending on the session type. Meals and snacks are included in the session fees as specified by the session times. Flexible booking patterns are available for both full and part-time care.
