Inclusion & environment
There are effective processes in place to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Managers and staff swiftly identify gaps in children's learning. They take appropriate action and reach out to relevant professionals for support and guidance. Staff work with parents as they create individualised plans that are tailored to children's needs. Children with SEND are set challenging, yet realistic targets to help them make the best possible progress.
Children are motivated to learn in the indoor and outdoor environments. For instance, children immerse themselves deeply in role play around doctors and hospitals in the garden. Children have plenty of opportunities to build their muscles and core strength through physical activities, developing good gross motor skills, coordination and agility as they make their way across an obstacle course.
We have been so impressed with Tenderlinks since my daughter started two years ago. They are constantly finding new ways to improve and adding activities that the children will enjoy. My daughter is always happy when I pick her up and excited to tell me about her day. They spend a lot of time outside in the brilliant garden, and do a lot of great crafts. Would highly recommend - my son is about to start too!
Read on GoogleMy 3yo has been attending for a few months and my 1yo just started. It's a small nursery which creates a cosy atmosphere. All the nursery staff know all the children and seem to develop a nice bond with your child. After a little adjustment period (post isolation!) my 3yo now seems to love being at nursery and they always have plenty of fun activities to do in the day and some lovely toys to play with in their playground. Aesthetically it is perhaps not as nice as some other local nurseries but I don't think this bothers the kids who are the ones who really count in this! It is clean and tidy. The kids get lovely care and my 3yo eats all his food which he never does at home! My 1yo is just starting but was very happy to go in at her first drop off. I think she's been eager to follow big bro! Communications are 5*. Your messages on the app are replied to really quickly and with very complete and efficient responses. Eileen is particularly great and really happy to explain things and advise. As a parent this makes me feel very comfortable.
Read on GoogleOur son has been attending Tenderlinks for a year and a half and loves it! For us it stands out due to the smaller size, caring staff and outside space. Our son knows every member of staff and every child by name, and adores his key worker. The garden is huge with lots of different activities / equipment and in the summer the children are outside all day. Tenderlinks use the brilliant Famly app for communications and to log meals, naps, observations etc in real time. From the moment we signed up the management has been so efficient and organised and just lovely to deal with. Eileen and Vicky respond to messages very promptly and we feel well informed of what is going on and the future plans for the nursery.
Read on GoogleWe have been delighted with the care and professionalism at Tenderlinks. The team are very accommodating and genuinely care about the children. My son recently started school and they still make such a fuss of him when he comes to collect his sister.
