The inspector found that staff provide a broad curriculum with stimulating activities planned around children's interests. Staff were seen to develop secure bonds with children, supporting their emotional well-being and using high-quality interactions to encourage communication. The report noted that the needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are generally met very well through good partnerships with parents and external professionals. To improve, Ofsted recommended that the nursery strengthen its key person arrangements to ensure children with SEND receive consistent support, and further enhance the curriculum to consistently meet the needs of all children.

The nursery's approach, guided by the "Pioneering Pathway" curriculum, focuses on nurturing, inspiring, and empowering children. They prioritise a "Head Start" for settling in, foster "Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies" for well-being, and develop independent, resilient learners who have a voice in a community that embraces diversity and cooperation. The inclusion of Forest School trained educators further emphasises their commitment to outdoor exploration and learning through play.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Generally, children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) have their needs met very well. The manager, alongside the special educational needs coordinator (SENCo), has good knowledge of local referral processes, ensuring timely support. Staff work closely with external professionals and parents, recognising the importance of partnership working, and the SENCo develops individual education plans. However, these strategies are not always consistently used by all staff, particularly when a child's key person is absent, which the manager and SENCo are working to strengthen.

The team have been amazing at helping settle my son into nursery! I have really seen him develop and he enjoys a wide range of activities on a daily basis. I really feel the team have the childrens best interests at heart and keep me updated throughout the day on everything he does! I can't thank the team enough and so pleased I chose this nursery for my son!
