The Corner Preschool, established in 1998, operates as a committee-run charity within the St Cuthberts Trust Centre in Portsmouth. It offers full-day or sessional care for children from two years old up to school age, focusing on a safe and stimulating environment that respects individuality and supports children in reaching their full potential.

The preschool follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, providing individual attention through a high adult-to-child ratio and offering a personal keyperson for each child. Pricing & funding

Charges are based on three-hour sessions and Lunch Club bookings for children who do not yet qualify for free education. Fees are billed to maintain the child's place and attendance is conditional upon timely payment.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders closely support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) by working with professionals, such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists. Together, they implement effective plans to support children to achieve the best outcomes.

Outdoor space

Children are physically active in their play, demonstrating control as they balance on equipment in the garden. Staff build on children's interests and encourage them to jump from a low height, helping them build good physical skills.

Fantastic, caring pre school. The structure for the little ones is good. Nice setting with lots of different learning areas. The ladies working there are very supportive and kind. Very grateful! Highly recommend ☺️
