The Fun Factory in Camberley provides care for children from birth to four years old. It is open from 8am to 6pm for 51 weeks of the year. In June 2024, Ofsted inspected the day nursery and judged it to be Good overall. The inspector reported that children settle quickly, feel secure, and show positive attitudes to their learning. The curriculum was described as well planned and engaging for all children.

The report highlighted the support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those with possible speech delays as a strength of the day nursery. It noted that staff work effectively with parents and other professionals to put targeted strategies in place. Children have opportunities for outdoor play, with older children using a mud kitchen and younger children playing with footballs and see-saws. According to the inspector, children develop good communication, language, and mathematical skills.

How they support every child

SEND provision

The support for children with SEND and children who have possible speech delays is a strength of the nursery. Staff quickly identify children who need additional support and work effectively with parents and other professionals to put targeted strategies in place, tailored to children's needs and preferences. As a result, children make good progress in their learning and development.

Outdoor space

Children have many opportunities to play and enjoy exploring outside. Older children's coordination and fine motor skills are supported well as they make 'magic potions' in the mud kitchen. Younger children enjoy kicking footballs and playing on see-saws.

I have been really disappointed as I am trying to contact nursery since last 3 weeks via phone and have been told that I’ll be contacted but I have not been contacted. Last week I went to the nursery to talk in person and asked whatever queries I had and dropped my number so I can be given further details I asked for I was told that i will be updated by the end of the week. I waited and waited and called back on Monday, same response will be called back. And still there has been no response.That is extremely unprofessional.

What can I say, in my opinion it doesn't even deserve 1 star. what contributed to this? I called to see if there were any places available, the manager was not there (would call me back), the next day I called - the manager had a viewing (would call me back), and I heard the same song 4 times from a nice girl. what unprofessionalism working there 🙄
