About this day nursery
15pm, all year round. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, focusing on a well-planned and broad curriculum that incorporates children's interests, gathered through parent consultations.
The dedicated staff team, who feel happy and supported by approachable leaders, are keen to build on children's speaking, listening skills, and confidence by showing genuine interest in their home lives. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive good support from the nursery's SENCo, who is further supported by the group's lead SENCo, ensuring tailored strategies for progression.
The outdoor area is thoughtfully designed with varying heights and natural surfaces, encouraging children to explore and develop both large and small muscles while experiencing nature, such as drawing on stone, climbing wood frames through mud, and role-playing in a wood house.
Our ethos
The Nest Nursery Lime Tree strives to create a "home from home" atmosphere, prioritising a calm and tranquil environment. Their approach encourages imagination and curiosity through the use of natural, authentic, open-ended, and recycled resources, alongside loose parts play. They also offer Forest School sessions to foster an appreciation for the natural world.

How they support every child
SEND provision
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive good support. The nursery special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) reviews and plans for children's targets, and is further supported by the lead SENCo for the group of nurseries to provide the best possible strategies to ensure that children receive the help they need to progress.
Outdoor space
The outdoor area has been thoughtfully constructed at different heights, with various natural surfaces. Children use chalk on the stone ground to draw, walk through mud to climb wood frames, and walk through bark to step up to a wood house for role play. This allows them to exercise both large and small muscles while experiencing nature.

My son has been attending since January 2022. The staff are so lovely and patient. Always happy to update me when I call for an update. They send important email updates to all parents. I was given a thorough tour and introduced to my sons key worker at his first settling in session. Shauna and Rachel are diamonds. Thank you to all the staff for the amazing job you do ❤️

Excellent Nursery We were shown around by Molly and we were super impressed with the genuine and heartfelt enthusiasm she had for the nursery and the children. This nursery cares about the children who attend and they are very organised - they have a child led approach which benefits from meticulous planning and preprepared resources which are put out the evening before, ready for the children the next morning. They have a construction room and an arts room, full of exciting things for the children to play with. Really impressive outdoor area too. A very hardworking team and a pleasure to see. Thank you!

My nephew attends this fantastic nursery and I couldn't be more impressed! His development has come on in leaps and bounds since starting. The staff are amazing and so helpful. Always available and happy to assist with any queries or issues. I would definitely recommend to others.
