Apricot Day Nursery, situated in St Neots, is dedicated to fostering cognitive, social, and physical development in children, while also boosting their confidence and independence in preparation for school. The nursery adopts a Montessori approach within a nurturing, home-like environment, where learning is primarily play-based and tailored to individual interests.
The curriculum is enriched with a "Next Stop School" program to ensure a smooth transition to primary education. The nursery operates across two sites, with a separate pre-school setting for older children.
They offer a range of activities and clubs, including cookery, movement, art, music, gardening, and science, all designed to enhance their bespoke Brighter Learning Approach, which goes beyond the standard Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. The nursery prioritises clear communication with parents, provides freshly prepared meals on-site, and assigns a dedicated key person to each child.
They also offer a supportive community for parents through baby clubs and open days.

Inclusion & environment
Managers support staff to ensure that they can plan and deliver a good curriculum that is ambitious for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Staff know what children have learned and what they want to teach them next and why. This helps all children receive good support that meets their learning needs.
Children have plenty of opportunities to play outside in the fresh air. They develop their physical skills as they ride on bikes, climb up the climbing frame and go down the slide. Children learn to take controlled risks.

Read on GoogleThe Old Station Nursery in Iver is an excellent facility with patient and positive staff. My son has been attending for only two months and absolutely loves it. He always goes in smiling and comes out wanting to return. He enjoys the activities offered, such as story reading and baking, and I can see his development in various skills. I'm really happy that we chose this nursery and highly recommend it.
Read on GoogleYamuna and her team are simply the best. My son loves attending nursery and its because he has such a wonderful time when he is there, and is so well looked after. He started when he was 11 months old, and although I was worried to leave him in a new environment at such a young age, i need not have. The team in the baby room are so lovely and you can tell they truly love what they do. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for a setting that is full of love and fun for their child. The actual space is also really great, large spacious rooms that are light and full of toys and learning equipment. Always clean and tidy (not sure how with so many kids running around!) Thank you all at Old Station Iver, we appreciate you!
