How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) progress well. Practitioners work with the SEND coordinator to identify children who may need additional support. They work with parents and create and follow individual plans to provide support to help close any gaps in learning and development.

Outdoor space

Children engage in activities and excitedly explore the indoor and outdoor environment. Older children climb, run and balance when outdoors and begin to take risks.

My son has attended this nursery since he turned one and is now two and a half, and he’s had a really positive experience throughout. From the baby room through to the toddler room, the transitions have been handled so thoughtfully and smoothly, which made a big difference to his confidence and settling in. The staff are absolutely amazing — they genuinely care about the children and it really shows in the way they support each child’s individual needs and development. He’s happy, settled, and clearly enjoying his time there, while continuing to learn and grow. As a parent, it’s incredibly reassuring to know he’s in such a nurturing, supportive environment, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the nursery

Our daughter has been at Pickford nursery for 3 years and our experience has been excellent. The teachers are brilliant and the nursery is run really well, we would definitely recommend!

Our daughter recently started Pickford Nursery and has been made to feel extremely welcome. They have done the upmost to ensure she is settled in and taking part. Because of this our daughter is extremely happy and loves going to Pickford. She always leaves very happy! All the staff have genuine care for all of the kids. Thank you!

My daughter has been at The Pickford since she was 9 months old and I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough! All of the staff have been fantastic and my daughter loves going to nursery. They’ve helped my husband and I as first time parents to understand the different milestones, set realistic goals and handle dealing with tantrums! The nursery has such a wonderful family feel to it and has helped my daughter gain skills, confidence and make fantastic friends (with the other children and staff!). A great, welcoming environment and I am so happy and comfortable sending my child in everyday. We could not recommend enough!!

The Pickford Nursery has been great accommodating my daughter, the team have been excellent during her time settling in and getting used to being at nursery. The Famly app is great and the team are really good at updating it throughout the day. There are always plenty of activities and learning that is done during the day and my daughter is always happy and excited to go into nursery in the morning!
