Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported. The manager, who is also the special educational needs coordinator, works with a child's key person, parents and external agencies to access the right support. They work together to plan and implement strategies that enable children to make good progress in their development.
There is much laughter and excitement as children are discovered in their hiding places within the nursery garden. Staff complete daily risk assessments to help to keep children safe and ensure that the nursery environment, both inside and outside, is a safe place to play.
The Rockinghorse Nursery is an amazing, family-focused place that truly offers person-centred support. Despite the hurdles we faced as a family, the staff were always kind, understanding, and ready to help. It’s a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment with no unpleasant smells — you can tell they genuinely care about the children’s wellbeing. My children grew in confidence, learned social skills, and even mastered potty training here. The team communicates well, adapts to individual needs, and always puts children and parents first. I was recommended by my sister — who was also recommended by our other sister — and since then, we’ve shared it with friends and more family members. That’s how good they are! I highly recommend The Rockinghorse Nursery — they’re simply fantastic! 🌟
Read on GoogleI would strongly advise parents to think twice before sending their children to Rocking Horse Nursery in Bulwell, Nottingham. My son has become unwell multiple times since attending — including frequent bouts of diarrhoea and, most recently, hand, foot and mouth disease. On more than one occasion, his pram was returned to me covered in faeces after being left at the nursery, which is absolutely unacceptable. These incidents show a serious lack of hygiene and care. Children are constantly getting poorly, and I have no confidence in the nursery’s hygiene standards or infection control. As a parent, I find this extremely concerning and feel the setting is not safe for young children.
Read on GoogleA fantastic nursery. The staff are all lovely and when my grandson went he always came out so happy and spoke highly about nursery
