About this day nursery

The Tree House Day Nursery, established in September 2007, is a family-operated institution that provides care for children from three months to four years and eleven months old. The nursery is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, for 49 weeks of the year, with closure on Bank Holidays.

The nursery champions a child-centric philosophy, aiming to foster each child's development in a secure and positive atmosphere. This includes dedicated efforts to ensure every child feels valued and respected, receives a high-quality education tailored to their unique needs, and has opportunities to develop the skills necessary for active participation in a diverse society.

Fees are annualised over 52 weeks with a minimum attendance of three days. Funding is annualised over 47 weeks. Meals and extra-curricular sessions, such as music and sports, are charged separately as additional fees.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Assessment is used exceptionally well; children are tracked on entry and at key points to ensure staff swiftly identify any emerging gaps. Interventions are then put into place to ensure children quickly catch up. This helps build children's confidence in their abilities from a very young age, which encourages a positive attitude to learning.

Outdoor space

Staff plan outings to local green spaces and gardening activities such as developing a wildlife pond. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
