About this day nursery

The Trees Day Care Nurseries have been providing childcare in Swindon for over 30 years, establishing themselves as a reputable and experienced nursery group in Wiltshire. They aim to offer a happy and enjoyable experience for children, fostering all-round development in a secure and safe environment.

The nurseries provide a nurturing, home-from-home atmosphere with engaging playrooms and outdoor spaces. They integrate creative play and formal teaching to support children's well-being, encouraging imagination, social skills, and a sense of community.

This approach helps children grow in confidence and independence, preparing them for future transitions. The nurseries operate year-round from 8 am to 6 pm, excluding Bank Holidays, and offer out-of-school care.

They are equipped to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as those learning English as an additional language. The team consists of qualified and experienced staff, including managers, deputies, nursery assistants, cooks, and maintenance personnel.

Prospective parents are invited to visit the nurseries at Quarry Road and Oxford Road to explore the facilities and address any queries with the managers, Jo and Michelle.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff adapt planning and provision based on ongoing observations and assessment to monitor children's development closely and identify emerging needs, ensuring that all children receive the right level of challenge and support to make progress across all areas of learning.

Outdoor space

Daily outdoor play supports children's physical health and development. Children benefit from a variety of outdoor areas tailored to their stage of development. For example, older children access climbing walls to develop whole body strength and coordination.

EAL / language support

Staff work closely with families who speak additional languages to understand and value children's home language while also extending their English vocabulary and communication. However, on occasion, staff do not model language clearly to further support children's pronunciation of words and vocabulary development.
