The Windmill Kindergarten CIC, situated in Burton Joyce, has been a cornerstone of the local community for over 35 years, welcoming numerous families, some across multiple generations. This modern playgroup blends contemporary approaches with traditional values, offering a structured routine designed to foster children's growth and development.
The kindergarten accommodates children aged 2-5, providing a constantly updated array of toys, books, and activities including free play, role play, small world play, arts and crafts, sensory play, and messy play. A mid-morning and mid-afternoon break allows for quiet time, story-telling, snack time, and group interaction through songs, nursery rhymes, and games.
The outdoor play area is vibrant and inviting, featuring astro-turf and barked sections for safety and varied interest, alongside a small herb garden and a shade-providing tree. This outdoor space provides ample opportunities for activities that develop skills, balance, coordination, and imagination.
Each child benefits from an online journal, accessible solely by their parents, which is regularly updated to document their developmental journey at the kindergarten. The Windmill Kindergarten CIC is dedicated to providing an environment where fun and imagination know no bounds.

Charges are structured as a full day rate, morning or afternoon sessions, and an optional lunch club. Funded places are available for children aged two, three, and four.
