Tiny Toes Private Nursery offers a nurturing and family-oriented environment in Hambleton, near Selby. Evolving from a childminding service into a private nursery, the core philosophy remains centred on the child, fostering their development through play-based and child-led activities within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

The nursery caters to children from birth up to eleven years old, providing a seamless experience for those attending Hambleton Primary School with breakfast and after-school tea clubs. A unique aspect of Tiny Toes is its emphasis on mixed-age group interactions, believing this family-style approach helps children develop strong communication skills, understanding, and compassion.

Meal times are shared around a family dining table, encouraging an exchange of daily experiences. The highly qualified staff, many of whom are parents themselves, prioritise a secure and supportive transition for new children and families, offering tailored settling-in periods to build strong relationships.

At Tiny Toes we want you to make our house your home. We are one big family and from the moment your family join Tiny Toes we hope you feel love and support as we step into the future together. You and your child are at the centre of what we do and how we do it. We feel that when you start and end with the child, you achieve great things. Through following your child’s interests and the Early Years Foundation Stage framework our days consist of child led, play based activities which ensure your child is able to reach their fullest potential whilst feeling the minimum of pressure.

What it's like

Children flourish in this welcoming and exceptionally well-resourced nursery. They rush in, excited to meet their friends and for their day to begin. The management team has adapted daily routines in light of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, resulting in children being more independent at entering the nursery.
