Twiggy's Day Nursery provides a nurturing and warm environment across its three locations in Donnington, Sutton Hill, and Madeley, Telford. Catering to children from 3 months up to 5 years old for nursery care, they also offer After School and Holiday clubs at Sutton Hill and Madeley for children up to 11 years old.

What it's like to attend

Children are happy to attend this friendly and homely setting. Staff build strong bonds with children and provide a warm and nurturing environment in which children thrive. The strong and well-sequenced curriculum supports children to develop skills in all areas of learning.

Inspector highlights

  • Managers are extremely passionate about the care and education they offer. They support their well-established, experienced team with regular supervisions and professional development.
  • Staff support children's mathematical learning well, using a variety of activities and mathematical language to help children understand numbers and quantities.
  • Children with SEND are well supported, with staff working with parents and outside agencies, using extra funding for training, and purchasing resources to meet individual needs.
  • Children have ample opportunities to develop large muscles outdoors through running, climbing, and balancing, and use the mud kitchen for imaginative and social play.
  • Staff encourage healthy choices by discussing good hygiene, oral health, providing healthy snacks and lunches, and ensuring daily exercise and fresh air.

How they support every child

SEND provision

This supports individual learning to ensure all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress from their starting points. Children with SEND are well supported in the setting. Staff work with parents and outside agencies to support the children.

Outdoor space

Outdoors, they can develop their large muscles as they run, climb and balance. They use the mud kitchen to fill pots and stir their mud creations. They use their imagination and develop social skills as they talk to their friends about what they are making.

Highly recommended my little boy attended for almost 4years he has allergies and they catered for his needs in every way the staff are amazing.
