Children attending Twiglets enjoy their time, forming close bonds with the nurturing staff who are attentive to their individual needs. The curriculum is designed to help children acquire a broad range of useful knowledge and skills, preparing them well for school.
This includes tailored support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who speak English as an additional language (EAL). Staff skilfully support these children, making timely referrals to outside agencies and collaborating with other professionals to develop targeted learning plans that promote good progress from their starting points.
The setting encourages a love of books, independence, and a "can-do" attitude, with children confidently sharing responses to familiar stories and eagerly participating in activities like preparing healthy snacks. Physical development is also a focus, with children engaging in activities such as using large brushes and water outdoors to make marks, which supports their shoulder movements, hand strength, and pre-writing skills.

They enthusiastically use large brushes and water to make marks on surfaces outdoors. This supports their shoulder movements and hand strength well, and helps them to gain the physical skills they need for writing.
