The Little Ripley Day Nursery, a family-operated institution established in 1988, is dedicated to offering a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment for children. With fifteen nurseries located across Sutton Coldfield, Erdington, Great Barr, and Kingstanding, the nursery prioritises providing every child with an optimal start to life.
Each facility boasts bright, comfortable rooms filled with age-appropriate games and activities, alongside spacious outdoor areas for play and exploration. The nursery prides itself on a team of committed, experienced, and qualified staff, many of whom have been with the organisation for an extended period, ensuring consistent care.
The well-being and safety of the children are paramount, alongside a commitment to fostering an environment where every child can learn, develop, and achieve their full potential. This is achieved by adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, integrating its guidance into all games and activities.
The aim is for children to learn without pressure, ensuring they are happy, caring, and successful as they transition to new stages, whether starting as babies, toddlers, or pre-schoolers. The nursery also provides essential provisions such as wipes, tissues, and bibs, though parents are asked to supply personal items like comforters, nappies, and family photos to aid in the home-to-nursery transition.
Meals are freshly prepared by dedicated cooks on-site, with menus displayed weekly. The nursery operates an open-door policy for parents to discuss their child's needs and progress, further supported by a Key Worker system and the ParentMail messaging system for updates and communication.

Inclusion & environment
All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress in their learning. Children with SEND are supported well. Staff use their observations and assessments to ensure any gaps in learning are identified and acted upon. They work closely with parents and other professionals to create a plan to support children's individual needs.
Older children thoroughly enjoy the time they spend in the garden. Staff encourage children to use their imaginations and children excitedly hunt for hidden treasure and make mud cakes with items collected outdoors. Pre-school children excitedly race around the track in the garden riding a range of wheeled toys.
My daughter has been attending this nursery for almost a year now! And I honestly can’t thank them enough for providing such a caring environment for my little girl! She absolutely loves it here! I’m rest assured leaving her in their care and she is always so happy when I pick her up! I will also be sending my other daughter then when it’s time! We love it here x

The staff are all lovely and extremely caring and I feel reassured daily leaving him in their care. Read on GoogleLittle Ripleys on Withy hill rd have been a great help. They take great care of our son and make him feel special and cared for. He has gained so much confidence and made lovely friends and really loves going every morning. They do lovely activities abs the level of cleanliness and hygiene is fab. Throughout the pandemic, they have been our saviours too. They were supportive, flexible and above all safe and reliable. The staff are all great and caring and we are so glad we made this choice. Management is also fantastic and Sadie is hands on as any of the other staff with the children who grow to love them all and engage with them like any one of their friends too. We also love the fact the staff are referred to as aunties as this makes it that bit more personal. Very pleased all round and strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic nursery.
