Rated as 'Good' by Ofsted following its latest inspection on 17th September 2024, Twinkles provides an environment where children enjoy their learning and make good progress across all aspects of their development. The dedicated staff strongly support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who may be vulnerable, working closely with professionals such as speech and language therapists and social care to address any identified gaps in learning at an early stage.
Children are well-prepared for their transition to school, systematically developing the skills and knowledge they need, including early mark-making skills to develop pre-writing abilities. The setting also promotes personal development, health, and well-being through activities like invigorating dance sessions and teaching good hygiene practices.
Parents highly recommend Twinkles, appreciating the intimate and friendly ethos, and the effective guidance staff offer, which has been particularly noted for improving behaviour at home for children who find it difficult to manage their emotions. The curriculum focuses on building knowledge sequentially, using children's interests to keep them motivated and engaged both indoors and outdoors, and fostering a love of books and strong communication skills through songs, rhymes, and confident speaking opportunities.
