Peaks Edge Day Nursery and Preschool provides comprehensive care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. The nursery focuses on creating a stimulating environment, both indoors and outdoors, to encourage children's holistic development across social, emotional, physical, and educational domains.
They prioritise individual attention, aiming to foster a sense of self-worth and a caring attitude in each child, helping them become happy, confident, and independent learners. The nursery is open Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, 52 weeks a year, closing only on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year bank holidays.
They offer a simple fee structure with no age-based price differences and a minimum attendance of two 8-hour sessions per week. The all-inclusive session package covers meals, snacks, nappies, and other services.
The nursery utilises the eyLog online learning journal system, which allows staff to record and share a child's developmental progress with parents through photos, videos, and notes. Emphasising safety, the nursery operates a password system for child collection and maintains clear policies and procedures.
They also provide a healthy, balanced, and nutritious vegetarian/pescatarian menu, prepared on-site, with options for breakfast, lunch, and tea, and cater to babies' dietary needs. Peaks Edge Day Nursery and Preschool is registered with Ofsted and actively promotes equal opportunities, ensuring all individuals are treated with respect and their needs are met.
