Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents comment how staff are very supportive and how well their children are developing in their skills.
They also comment how staff share ideas with them to support their child's continued learning at home.
Inclusion & environment
All staff plan an exciting curriculum to entice children, including for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), to explore, have a go and develop the necessary skills for their future learning. The manager and staff work very closely with parents and external agencies to ensure targeted support for children already identified with SEND is maintained. Early interventions are sought for children who may have emerging needs.
Children benefit from lots of meaningful learning outside. During a football activity, children practise their physical and listening skills and follow instructions well. They wait to hear the words 'go' or 'blast off' before they kick the balls. Children scream with delight as they race to retrieve their ball and place it back on top of the cones.
I want to thank the entire staff for your support during my ward stay. He loves it and the decision to relocate was difficult because of this. Your dedicated team enabled him and us to overcome our separation anxieties quicker than we ever imagined. We never believed he will wake up with school on his mind but he kept reminding us everyday. A lot of changes took place especially his socialisation level, skills and communication. In fact we thank you for your impact within that short space. We will always be grateful. If we ever find our way back to the locality with a little one, it will always be Wilford Village playgroup. Hoping to meet another team like you. God bless you. Thank you for being there for us.
